Per the fatcory manual. 1, turnt he crankshaft and bring the piston to TDC aligning the T mark on the rotor to the index mark on the crankcase. Keeping the chain tight and not allowing the crank to turn, engage the chain on the can sprocket with the locating pin hole at the 1 oclock position. CAUTION do not loose the timing pin in the engine while installing the gear over the cam. Align the engraved mark(s) on the camshaft with the top surface of the cylinder head. Install the C-ring in the groove of the head, fit the lockwasher so it covers the retaining pin and using 1303 thread locker torque the bolts to 10.0-11.5 ft lbs. 1301 is loctite 272.
